How sorting and conditions work

Find answers to common questions about sort options and conditions.

A product’s lowest variant price. This applies to Lowest price first, Highest price first, and the Price condition.

As the percentage off the compare-at price. For a product with variants, the largest discount counts. A product that isn’t on sale counts as 0.

Last, whichever direction you sort in.

+ Group into ranges sorts by range instead of by exact value. Products in the same range count as tied, so the tiebreak decides their order.

For example, Lowest price first in ranges of 20 treats prices from 0 to 19.99 as one range, and prices from 20 to 39.99 as the next.

+ Add tiebreak isn’t available after Keep current order or Random (fresh shuffle daily).

Days since added and Discount % are rarely whole numbers. Use greater than or less than with them instead of is.

Tag with is not or doesn’t contain matches a product only when none of its tags match.

No. A section matches all of its conditions or any of them. It can’t mix both.
