Sorting strategies

A sorting strategy is a set of rules that decides the order of the products in a collection. You create a strategy once, and then add the collections that you want it to sort.

Your strategies are listed on the Sorting page, in the Sorting strategies section.

What a strategy contains

A strategy has the following parts:

• Strategy name: the name that you see in the app.
• Sort automatically: whether Siftori sorts the strategy’s collections on your store schedule.
• Collections: the collections that the strategy sorts. A collection follows one strategy at a time.
• Sorting sections: the order itself. Sections pull some products to the top, and Everything else sorts the rest.

Enabled and Manual only

On the Sorting page, each strategy has one of the following badges:

• Enabled: Sort automatically is selected. Siftori sorts the strategy’s collections on your store schedule.
• Manual only: Sort automatically isn’t selected. A collection is sorted only when you click Apply Sort on that collection.
