Getting started

You can set up Siftori in three steps. Each step works on its own, so you can stop after any of them.

After you install the app, Siftori gets your collections from Shopify. The Setup guide on the Home page shows when that’s done.

Step 1: Handle sold-out products

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Sold-out handling.
2. Select Push down sold-out products.
3. Select All collections.
4. Click Save.
5. If Siftori asks whether to sort collections that Shopify sorts, then click Let Siftori sort.

Sold-out products now move to the bottom of your collections within minutes. To hide them instead, or to choose the collections, refer to Sold-out handling.

Step 2: Create a sorting strategy

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Sorting.
2. Click New strategy.
3. Click Use a starter, and then click a starter.
4. In Collections, click Add collections, and then select the collections to sort.
5. Click Save.

The strategy sorts its collections on your store schedule. On a new store, the first sort can start within minutes. A collection that Shopify sorts is skipped until you let Siftori sort it.

Step 3: Sort a collection

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click a collection that you added to the strategy.
3. Click Apply Sort.
4. In the Sort preview, check the new order.
5. Click Apply this order.

If a sort doesn’t look right, then you can restore the previous order.
