Getting started with Siftori
Install Siftori, create a sorting strategy from a template, assign it to a collection, preview the new order, and apply it. The whole walkthrough takes a few minutes.
1. Install the app
Section titled “1. Install the app”Install Siftori from the Shopify App Store and open it from your Shopify admin. On first launch you’ll be asked to choose a plan, which includes a free trial.
Right after install, Siftori syncs your collections and products in the background. Most stores are ready in under a minute; large catalogs can take a few minutes. If the list stays empty, use Sync from Shopify at the bottom of the Collections section.

2. Create a strategy from a template
Section titled “2. Create a strategy from a template”On Siftori’s main page, press New strategy in the Sorting strategies section and choose Use a template, for example New arrivals first. The strategy editor opens with the template already filled in; nothing is created until you press Save, so feel free to look around first.
See Sorting strategies and templates for what each template does. Once you outgrow the templates, you can edit any strategy or build your own.

3. Assign it to a collection
Section titled “3. Assign it to a collection”Open a collection and find the Sorting Strategy section. In the Strategy dropdown, pick your new strategy under Strategies, then save.
Prefer one order for the whole store? Set Default sorting strategy under Sorting defaults on the main page instead; every collection follows it unless you override it.

4. Pin your must-have products (optional)
Section titled “4. Pin your must-have products (optional)”In the Pinned products section, choose Add products and pick the products that should always sit at the top. Drag to reorder them; the first pin takes the first position. Details in Pinned products.
5. Preview the new order
Section titled “5. Preview the new order”Click Apply Sort. Siftori refreshes your product data and shows the proposed order first, with arrows showing how far each product would move; nothing changes in your store yet. See Preview for how to read it.

6. Apply the sort
Section titled “6. Apply the sort”When the order looks right, click Apply this order. Siftori writes the new order to Shopify and reports how many products moved. Most collections finish in seconds; a very large one can take a few minutes, and the app tells you if it’s still processing. Your storefront then shows the new order. Changed your mind? Cancel closes the preview without touching anything.
7. Turn on scheduled sorting
Section titled “7. Turn on scheduled sorting”Sorting starts out paused on a fresh install. To keep collections sorted on their own:
- On the main page, turn on the Sort collections on a schedule switch and pick a Sort frequency.
- On each collection you want sorted, keep its On schedule switch on.
From then on, Siftori sorts on your schedule. See Scheduling.
