Choosing how a collection is sorted

You can choose how each collection is sorted on the collection’s page. A collection follows a strategy, follows a built-in order, or isn’t sorted by Siftori.

Sort a collection with a strategy

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click the collection.
3. In the Sorting section, select Follow a strategy.
4. In Strategy, select a strategy.
5. Click Save.

Saving doesn’t sort the collection. It’s sorted at the next scheduled sort if the strategy is Enabled. To sort it right away, refer to Sorting a collection now.

Sort a collection with a built-in order

A built-in order is one of Shopify’s own sort orders: Most relevant, Best selling, Newest, Oldest, Product title A-Z, Product title Z-A, Lowest price, or Highest price.

Siftori sets the collection’s sort order in Shopify to that order, and Shopify keeps it up to date. If the collection has pins, or sold-out products are pushed down in it, then Siftori sorts it in that order every hour instead.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click the collection.
3. In the Sorting section, select Follow a strategy.
4. In Strategy, under Built-in, select an order.
5. Click Save.

Stop sorting a collection

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click the collection.
3. In the Sorting section, select Follow a strategy.
4. In Strategy, select No strategy.
5. Click Save.

The collection goes back to the Shopify sort order that it had before. It stays as it is if it still has pins, or if sold-out products are pushed down in it.

Note

No strategy also keeps the collection off your store default.

Let Siftori sort a collection that Shopify sorts

Siftori can order the products only in a collection with the Shopify sort order Manually. A collection with another sort order keeps the order that Shopify gives it until you let Siftori sort it or click Apply Sort.

The Collections page shows a warning for each collection that Shopify sorts and that has a strategy, pins, or pushed-down sold-out products.

When you let Siftori sort a collection, its Shopify sort order changes to Manually right away.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Do either of the following:
   • To switch one collection, click Let Siftori sort in its row. If the collection has a strategy of its own, then it’s also sorted right away.
   • To switch all of them, click Let Siftori sort them in the warning above the list. Each collection is sorted at its next scheduled sort.
