Pinning products

You can pin products to the top of a collection. Pinned products take the first positions, and the rest of the collection follows its sorting strategy.

Pins belong to one collection. They work in a collection with or without a strategy.

Pin products

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click the collection.
3. In the Pinned products section, click Add products, and then select the products.
4. Optional: Drag the pins into the order that you want. The first pin takes the first position.
5. Click Save.

The pins take their positions within minutes. Saving pins doesn’t sort the rest of the collection.

Note

In a collection that Shopify sorts, pins have no effect until you click Let Siftori sort on the collection’s page.

Change the order of pins

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click the collection.
3. In the Pinned products section, drag the pins into the order that you want.
4. Click Save.

Unpin a product

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click the collection.
3. In the Pinned products section, click Unpin next to the product.
4. Click Save.

When a pinned product sells out or leaves the collection

A pin is never removed for you. It waits in the following cases:

• Sold out: If sold-out products are pushed down in the collection, then a pinned product that sells out moves down with them. It takes its pinned position back when it restocks.
• Not in collection: A pinned product that leaves the collection keeps its pin, which has no effect. The product takes its pinned position back when it returns to the collection.
