Pin products to the top of a collection
In Siftori, pins hold your chosen products in the top positions of a Shopify collection. Everything below them keeps following the collection’s sorting strategy.
Pins belong to the collection, not to a strategy, and there is no limit on how many you set, on any plan.
Adding and ordering pins
Section titled “Adding and ordering pins”In the Pinned products section of a collection, choose Add products. The picker only offers products that are in this collection. Drag pins to reorder them: the first pin takes the first position, the second pin the second, and so on. Unpin removes one. Save with the bar at the top of the page.
The collection’s product list marks pinned products with Pinned #1, Pinned #2 and so on, so you can see each product’s slot at a glance.
Sold-out pins move down until restock
Section titled “Sold-out pins move down until restock”If sold-out handling covers the collection, that wins over pins: a pinned product that sells out moves down with the rest, and the pins below it close up the gap. The pin is not lost. The product takes its pinned position back when it restocks, within minutes, whether or not a strategy sorts the collection. See Sold-out handling.
Pins wait for products that leave the collection
Section titled “Pins wait for products that leave the collection”If a pinned product drops out of the collection (common with automated collections, where membership changes on its own), the pin stays and shows a Not in collection badge. It has no effect while the product is out. When the product returns, it reclaims its position. Unpin it if you no longer want that.
Do pins work without a strategy?
Section titled “Do pins work without a strategy?”They are kept, but nothing puts them in place on its own. A collection with no strategy never sorts on a schedule, so its pins take their positions the next time you press Apply Sort, which leaves the rest of the order as it is.
Sold-out handling is not part of that: it is a pick per collection on the Sold-out handling page, so a collection without a strategy still gets it whenever you have picked it.
When new pins take effect
Section titled “When new pins take effect”A pin takes its position at the next sort of that collection, scheduled or from Apply Sort. On a collection sold-out handling covers, the sold-out check applies new pins too, so they usually land within minutes. That holds even when the store is over its plan’s collection limit.
