Sorting a collection now

You can sort a collection right away, without waiting for your store schedule. You see the new order before anything changes in your store.

Sort a collection now

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Collections.
2. Click the collection.
3. Click Apply Sort.
4. In the Sort preview, check the new order.
5. Click Apply this order.

The whole collection is sorted, not only the products that the preview shows. If Shopify sorts the collection, then its Shopify sort order also changes to Manually.

Note

If the new order is the same as the current order, then the preview says so and there’s nothing to apply.

Read the sort preview

The preview lists the products in the order that they’ll have after the sort. A product can have the following badges:

• An arrow and a number: how many positions the product moves up or down.
• Pinned: The product is pinned.
• Sold out: The product counts as sold out.

In a collection with more than 100 products, the preview shows the first 100.

When you can’t click Apply Sort

• If you have unsaved changes, then click Save or Discard first.
• Apply Sort appears only when the collection has a strategy, rules of its own, pins, or pushed-down sold-out products. A collection that only follows a built-in order has no Apply Sort, because Shopify keeps it in order.
