Changing a sorting strategy

You can rename a sorting strategy, change its collections, turn automatic sorting on or off, duplicate it, or delete it.

Your changes apply the next time the collections are sorted. To change the order that a strategy sorts in, refer to Setting up sections.

Rename a strategy

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Sorting.
2. Click the strategy.
3. In Strategy name, enter a new name.
4. Click Save.

Add or remove collections

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Sorting.
2. Click the strategy.
3. In Collections, do either of the following:
   • To add collections, click Add collections, and then select the collections.
   • To remove a collection, click Remove next to the collection.
4. Click Save.

A collection that you remove follows your store default. If you have no store default, then Siftori stops sorting the collection, and it goes back to the Shopify sort order that it had before. It stays as it is if pins or sold-out handling still apply to it.

Note

A collection with a Store default badge has no Remove button. To take it off the strategy, keep it off the store default.

Turn automatic sorting on or off

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Sorting.
2. Click the strategy.
3. Select or deselect Sort automatically.
4. Click Save.
5. If a Take over collections? message appears, then click Enable and take over.

Note

The message appears when the strategy is your store default and Shopify still sorts some of the collections that follow it. Siftori sets those collections to Manually in Shopify so that it can sort them.

Duplicate a strategy

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Sorting.
2. Click the strategy.
3. Click Duplicate.

Siftori saves a copy and opens it. The copy’s name starts with Copy of. It has no collections, and Sort automatically isn’t selected. Unsaved changes aren’t copied.

Delete a strategy

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Siftori Collection Sort > Sorting.
2. Click the strategy.
3. Click Delete Strategy.
4. Review the message. It says what happens to the strategy’s collections.
5. Click Delete.

Note

You can’t undo this. The strategy’s collections move to your store default. If you have no store default, or if you delete the store default itself, then Siftori stops sorting them.
